Imagine a drinking glass sitting on the bottom of the sea. The water inside the glass is no different from that in the sea. Over time all the water in the glass is replaced yet the glass remains unless it is smashed. Think of the sea as the Tao, or God, or Brahman, or Reality. I am such an imaginary glass holding myself apart from the sea with the stories I tell about myself, about reality.–me
