Just Saying 2016-10-05,

To me, “being good” normally means suppressing parts of ourselves we think are unacceptable. Good is a mask we wear when anyone else is around. The problem is our darkness leaks out around the edges of our mask visible only to others. We all need to reconcile with our own darkness before we can be free or even learn to be ourselves. When we come to accept our darkness we can accept the darkness of others, this is the birth of compassion. But the real secret is that only by accepting our darkness can we stop acting upon it.–me
