Abraham and Isaac read as mythos

In Genesis 22 God commands Abraham to sacrifice his only son (unless you count Ishmael) Isaac as a burnt offering. Read as logos (i.e. literally) God is testing the faith of Abraham). But read as mythos it says something completely different. Read as mythos, the story says that Abraham, and his descendants, have every bit as much faith as the Baal worshipers. They have sufficient faith to sacrifice even their children if their God were to desire it,  but the God of Abraham has no such desire.
